CARBOHYDRATE

“Carbohydrates are one of the main dietary components, includes sugars, starches, and fibers. Carbohydrates are classified as simple or complex. The classification depends on the chemical structure of the food, and how quickly the sugar is digested and absorbed. Simple carbohydrates have one (single) or two (double) sugars. Complex carbohydrates have three or more sugars. Carbohydrates have excellent performance of moisture maintenance and damping. The excellence is more obvious used in cleansing facial milk and all kinds of creams. Adding a certain amount of Carbohydrates to cosmetics not only can prevent the moisture content in cosmetics from disappearing, but also make hydration to the moisture on the cuticle. Cosmetics with Carbohydrates are also easy to be absorbed by the skin.

What exactly are carbohydrates?

Carbohydrates, sometimes known as carbohydrates, are sugar molecules. Carbohydrates, together with proteins and lipids, are one of the three basic nutrients present in foods and beverages.

Carbohydrates are converted into glucose by your body. Glucose, often known as blood sugar, is the primary energy source for your body’s cells, tissues, and organs. Glucose can be used right away or stored for later use in the liver and muscles.

Carbohydrates are classified into three types:

  • Sugars. Because they are in their most basic form, they are also known as simple carbs. They can be found in meals like candies, desserts, processed foods, and ordinary soda. These also contain sugars that occur naturally in fruits, vegetables, and milk.
  • Starches. These are complex carbohydrates made up of many simple sugars connected together. To use carbohydrates as energy, your body must first break them down into sugars. Bread, cereal, and pasta are examples of starches. They also include vegetables such as potatoes, peas, and corn.
  • Fiber. It is a complex carbohydrate as well. Because most fibers cannot be broken down by the body, consuming fiber-rich meals can help you feel full and reduce your tendency to overeat. Fiber-rich diets have additional health benefits. They may aid in the prevention of stomach or digestive issues such as constipation. They may also aid in the reduction of cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Fiber can be found in a variety of plant-based foods, including fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains.
